Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Smart Career Hub account and the data attached to it. There are two ways to do it, and both lead to the same result.
Option 1 — In the app (immediate)
- Open Smart Career Hub and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be lost, then tap Continue.
- Enter your password to confirm. The account is closed straight away.
You will be asked for your password because deletion cannot be undone. If you signed up with Google, being signed in is proof enough and no password is needed.
Option 2 — By email
Send a message to support@aksharaedutech.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account".
We ask you to write from your own address because it is how we confirm the request is genuinely yours — we will not close an account on someone else's say-so.
We action these within 7 working days and email you to confirm once it is done. You do not need to give a reason.

| Kept, and why | Payment and invoice records — Indian tax law requires us to retain these for up to 8 years. They are kept in our accounting records only, are not linked to an active account, and are never used to contact you again. |
Please read before you delete
- This cannot be undone. There is no way to recover the account afterwards.
- Paid access is lost with no refund. If you have time left on a course, it ends immediately. Check our refund policy first.
- Your results are gone. Every score, rank and analysis is erased. If you want to keep them, note them down before deleting.
- Signing up again later creates a completely new account, starting from zero.
How long it takes

Would something less drastic help?
If you want to stay but change something, you may not need to delete at all:
| Too many notifications | Turn them off in your phone's Settings → Apps → Smart Career Hub → Notifications. |

| Don't want to appear on leaderboards | Email us and we will hide you, keeping your account and results intact. |
| Wrong name or email | Edit it in the Profile tab, or email us. |
| Just taking a break | Simply stop using the app. Nothing is charged unless you buy a course, and nothing renews automatically. |
